C'è stato un periodo nella storia del cinema, corrispondente alla
cosiddetta "età d'oro" di Hollywood (che copre all'incirca gli anni '40
fino alla metà degli anni '60 del secolo scorso) in cui le produzioni ad
alto budget includevano nel film anche un'ouverture, ovvero un brano
musicale pensato per essere ascoltato prima dell'inizio del film.
Queste ouverture spesso accompagnavano uno schermo vuoto o un'immagine
fissa, e per lo più erano concepite per introdurre gradualmente il
pubblico al tono o all'atmosfera del film. A quei tempi gli spettatori
erano abbastanza pazienti da aspettare l'inizio del film vero e proprio
e potevano persino godersi questo "ritardo" nella presentazione come
parte della magia del cinema. Questa playlist raccoglie le ouvertures di
alcuni film indimenticabili, da “Come sposare un milionario” a West Side
Story”, da “il Dottor Zivago” a “2001: Odissea nello spazio”. |
There was a time in cinema history, corresponding with the so-called
Hollywood's "golden age" (roughly covering the 1940s to the middle
1960s) when major productions included as part of the film an overture,
i.e. a piece of music designed to be listened to before the actual film.
These overtures often accompanied a blank screen or a fixed image, and
were mostly designed to gradually introduce the audience to the tone or
atmosphere of the film. Viewers then were patient enough to wait for the
real film to start, and could even enjoy this "delay" in presentation as
part of the overall magic of cinema. This playlist is a collection of
the overtures from some unforgettable movies, from “How to marry a
millionaire” to “West Side Story”, from “Doctor Zhivago” to “2001: A
space odyssey”. |

Un
insegnamento/apprendimento produttivo richiede un "clima di classe"
cooperativo e rapporti interpersonali positivi, unica base per strategie
didattiche efficaci. Il cinema ci offre molti esempi di come questa
fusione di didattica e pedagogia possa (o non possa!) essere realizzata.
Centrale è la figura dell'insegnante, non tanto per il suo carisma (alla
Professor Keating di "L'attimo fuggente", per intenderci) quanto per la
sua capacità di mettere le sue doti comunicative al servizio
dell'apprendimento e della crescita in autonomia degli studenti. Tra
dramma e ironia, tra sorrisi e lacrime esploriamo questa intrigante
tematica con l’aiuto di una grande varietà di film, da "Amarcord" a
"Mona Lisa Smile", da "Mery per Sempre" a "La classe", da "I 400 colpi"
a (naturalmente!) "L’attimo fuggente"

Teaching/ learning requires a cooperative "class climate" and positive
interpersonal relationships, the only basis for effective educational
strategies. Cinema offers us many examples of how this merger of
teaching and pedagogy can (or cannot!) be achieved. Teachers are crucial
in this respect, not so much for their charisma (remember Professor
Keating from "Dead Poets’ Society"?)
as for their ability to put their communicative qualities at the service
of students’ learning and independent growth. Between drama and irony,
between smiles and tears we explore this intriguing theme with the help
